There are drill holes in the panels to hold keris daggers and at the top for attachment to the entrance doors.
These old hand carved wall panels of Wayang characters are made from a solid pieces of teak wood. Their purpose is to display Keris or Kris Javanese daggers. Photos show 2 panels (not for sale) as they were traditionally used with a keris attached.
